On Saturday, November 12, I participated in the Sendai Relay Marathon.
In this event, participants run 30 laps of a 1.4-km course, linking their arms and legs together to reach the goal of 42.195 km.
This time, we formed a team of 15 runners, each of whom ran one lap twice, and we were able to complete the marathon without incident.
We were blessed with fine weather on the day of the event, and it was a good time to experience the sporting fall season.
When I arrived at the office on Monday, I found that some of the participants were walking in an unnatural manner.
It seems that they are still basking in the afterglow of the fun.
Next year, the Tohoku-Miyagi Reconstruction Marathon is going to be held, and some members are going to try a full marathon!
We hope to find another event to participate in to provide an opportunity for regular exercise.
