Working together with my colleagues, I feel a sense of accomplishment.

Currently, as the chief of the Lapping and Flatness Group, I am in charge of progress management for the entire group and overall lapping processing. Since the lapping process is the final step in the blade manufacturing process, I am particularly conscious of maintaining quality and adhering to deadlines in my daily work. Since our company produces a wide variety of products in small quantities, we handle a large number of products and require processing accuracy in microns. The process itself may seem complicated and difficult because we sometimes process products thinner than copy paper. But it is not particularly difficult if you understand the lapping mechanism. However, it takes a lot of time to understand the mechanism of the lapping process. In my case, by repeating many mistakes, I was finally able to learn what lapping is. Once again, I realized the importance of repeating basic operations in everything. It has been 10 years since I joined the company, and I am now in the middle of my career in terms of age. From now on, I would like to pass on to my juniors the skills of my seniors, who have been my role models.

Aiming to become an essential human resource

This year marks my seventh year with the company, and I am currently in charge of the diamond mixing process in the Production Division. It has been about a year since I was assigned to the mixing process, and looking back now, I feel that it took me a long time to master the process. I have experienced several processes since I joined the company, but it was difficult to get used to the work in the mixing process in the beginning because there were many points to check during the process compared to other processes. In fact, I made many small mistakes and omissions when I was first assigned, but everyone around me always supported me willingly. This kind of "support system" has not changed even after one year, and I am filled with gratitude to everyone every day. I have come to feel the importance of communication with the people around me even more because I am in charge of the process with several people. The more difficult a task seems, the greater the sense of accomplishment I feel when I master it, and the more confident I become. My goal for the future is to learn all aspects of the mixing process. In the future, I would like to acquire a variety of knowledge and experience, and even if I am assigned to a different process, I would like to do my best so that everyone around me can rely on me and I can become an "essential human resource for the company.

What I have learned in one year

One year has passed since I joined the company. I am in charge of the blade filling process in the Production Division. The filling process is the second process in blade manufacturing after the kneading process. There are two things I keep in mind when I am in charge of the filling process. First of all, I have to be very careful not to produce any defects, and I have to work with a strong sense of responsibility. When I was actually assigned to my current department, I was filled with anxiety, but the people around me were very kind and provided me with detailed guidance on my duties, so I was able to get used to the work little by little, although it took some time. The next thing I learned was to know the daily workload in the morning before starting work. If I set a specific goal, such as "I need to finish this amount of work by what time today," I can concentrate on my work, and I will be happy when I actually achieve it. Also, when I have a problem while working, I often receive help from my superiors and the people in the process before and after me, which makes me realize every day that I am not working alone. I am always grateful for the people around me. Lastly, I introduce my goal from now on. Since I am in charge of the process of "molding" products, it is an important process that greatly affects the quality of the products. Therefore, I would like to reduce the number of product defects caused by me to less than half of the current number. Since I will need to mold many types of products in the future, I will make daily efforts to improve both production speed and quality, and I would like to be in a position to support the people around me.
